February 12, 2018 MCA Report
For the members that have not attended a National Mustang Club of America show we thought you might like a little more information. The shows are three days long because it takes this long to judge 300 to 500 cars. This is done not by popularity vote, but by teams of judges for the class you are in. Some of what they look for is depending on the class you are in for example originality, fit, finish, workmanship, and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! This can be a lot of work, but you are being judged on your work on your own car. This means if there are 10 cars in your class there could be 10 gold awards. Besides some of the most gorgeous Mustangs, the host club tries to make your visit to their town a good one.

Show News: If a vendor also sponsors a class or donates to our show; we are not going to charge a vendor fee.
We will have two food trucks. Arturos Tacos from Grand Haven will be there as well as a Pizza Truck. Room will be made for these vendors. Chris and Kevin will work with the parking lot folks to make sure all vendors will have room. The “Mustang Truck” is also going to be at the show. The parking lot will need to have some changes made since the Church wants part of the lot for their carnival. BrenSpeed would like to bring a display car, Marty Mieras might bring his two pace cars. Our show will have some special cars to show this years besides the amazing cars that comprise our show!
We will have 2 porta potties and 2 wash stations.
We are looking at different printers so we can get the best price for our printing.
Gene will talk to Tim about making dash plaques.
O’Reilly Auto Parts would like to sponsor one/some of the ‘special awards’ i.e. kids award, Ladies choice or youthful car enthusiast. In doing that, O’Reilly would also like to make those trophies.
Volunteers should contact Traci Stawasz to sign up. Many hands make light work. We really need someone to manage the raffle and the vendors,
Bethesda Farms will be contacted to bring donuts and coffee again.
We may contact the Casinos for a donation to the show. In the past they did not donate cash but donated a “room package” for the raffle.
NO decision on a dinner location was made for prior to the next meeting.
Meeting was adjourned at 828 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail
WMMC Secretary
