WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB BOARD MEETING April 9, 2018 ABERDEEN REFORMED CHURCH
The President Christ Stawasz, called the meeting to order at 7:09 pm.
Present were Steve Morgan, Joe DiLorenzo, Neil & Carol Keegstra, Phil Gibson, Gene Gibson, Rick & Cindy Bishop, Dick & Suellen Engel, Kevin Guzniczak, Tom & Julie Miller, Lori Stolte, Ron & Vicki Wilton, Rick May, Gary & Ginny Marble, Darrell Meyering, Dave & Cindy Dunn, Scott & Gail Broekema, Chris Stawasz, Dave & Heidi Mull and Carol Tefft.
Secretary Report: Lynn Trestrail not present, we waived the reading of the minutes from March.
Treasury Report: Lori submitted the treasury report. It was reviewed and explained. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the report. Lori passed out a list of current sponsors – 13 total for $1200 currently.
Nat’l Mustang Day Cruise – April 21, 2018. Leaving Remembrance Church to go to Cronk’s Restaurant in Newaygo by 11 am. From there, cruise to Country Dairy in New Era with a tour at 1:30 pm. Cost of tour is $8 per person.
Fall Color Tour Cruise – September 28-30, 2018. There are 30 rooms reserved, 16 rooms left. If you cancel your room, there is a $10 cancellation fee. Be sure to update Dave & Heidi if your plans change.
Metro Cruise – August 25, 2018 at Borgman Ford. We were reminded that we will need our current membership cards to be able to get a meal at Borgman during Metro Cruise.
Proposed future dates: Oct 6, 2018 – Taco Night
Nov 10, 2018 – Christmas Party
Feb 9, 2019 – Pizza Party
Mar 9, 2019 - Chili Palooza
*Ronda Houseman is not going to be able to do a picnic this year. It is uncertain if Cislers will host a picnic. We may do a Club picnic as a potluck at a park.

Membership: 190 members have paid their dues. Members are reminded that they must have their 2018 membership cards to participate in club sponsored activities and Show and Shine events. It was agreed that ONLY NEW MEMBERS signing up at the show will receive a $10 car show special. Members renewing that day, will still pay $20. Rosters will be on hand. No other discounts will be allowed.
Merchandise: Joe reports 60 shirts for the show are in. Discussed the pricing of the shirts. Joe will get the current cost of the shirts and report back at the next meeting to set the new prices. It was suggested that the website’s clothing page should be updated with current merchandise and prices.
Design of a “Show Shirt” was discussed. Chris and Gary Marble passed out designs for proposed show shirt. Discussion of having 100 of the show shirts made up. Gray was popular choice of color.
MCA Report: April 9, 2018 MCA Report
The Lone Star Mustang National - McAllen Texas is in the books. The show had 177 register cars with 117 being judged.
The next show is Georgia On My Mind in Grovetown GA. We have 3 cars from WMMC going. Good luck to all.
This show is filling up fast. Only 75 outside and no inside spaces left.

Show Schedule:
Friday May 25th - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Registration check-in and Parking. Some judging may be done after coordination with owners.
Saturday May 26th - 8:00 am to 10:00 am Registration check-in and Parking. All Judged entries must be in place by close of Registration at 10:00 am. Judging 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
Sunday May 27th - Show hours 8:00 am to Conclusion of Awards presentations. Limited judging as necessary. 2:00 pm Awards and 50/50 raffle.

Show Information:
- I-96 will be closed during our show. There may be night lane closures and there might be crossovers. More info to come.
- Vendor fee - $25. But if someone sponsors for $50, they can get the vendor fee thrown in.
- Trophies – Gary had samples of trophies. Going with green to go with Bullitt Mustang. Going with darker green and a black base. Black and gold tag/plaque. Smooth trim for the columns.
- Printer – have printed voting booklets, sponsor sheet w/ info sheet on back, and 2 sided flyers for the show. Printer donated $50 by knocking off price of the printing.
- Arturo’s Tacos – will have a food truck and giving us a break on combo plate.
- Pizza Parliament – will have a truck.
- O’Reilly’s – wants to donate the trophies for the Kids & Ladies Choice and Young Enthusiast Awards. Chris still trying to meet with appropriate person at O’Reilly’s.
- Ford Trailer – coming to our show on Saturday and going to Detroit on Sunday.
- Costco – will probably donate a pallet of water for show.
- Door Prizes – How much is left? They were left in club trailer. Probably not much left. What should we do about door prizes?
- Show Color Guard – the Cub Scouts from All Saints Academy will be our Color Guard. Opening ceremony is set for 9 am.
Lynn Trestrail and Suellen Engel got the show flyers stuffed and mailed. Thank you.
