Hi, new member here!
I'll get straight to the point. While I have gained good mechanical skills over the years, I'm looking to take my restoration/customizing skills, specifically bodywork, to the next level.
Unfortunately, I can't find any classes locally on these kinds of skills. I also have great (unrelated) full-time work that I enjoy, so getting a job somewhere is out of the question.
I would, however, be willing to pay someone for a couple hours per week for mentorship.
I'm looking for someone who can mentor me in how to do bodywork/painting/restoration of a classic car. I do know how to weld now, but not much else about bodywork. My goal is to get good enough to be able to do this kind of work for more of my own projects in the future. So, I'm focused on the long term.
I'm open to figuring out something that works for both of us. We can practice on my 66 Mustang project or something else. I have heated garage with some tools that we can use. Ideally, we would start meeting in person, but could do advice/updates via FaceTime/Skype calls, etc. I have a very flexible schedule.
Let me know if you know of anyone who might be able to help.
