Hi folks, I had a great time at the show n shine at Steve Morris last Saturday. I learned a lot and will apply some of that now - I was disappointed at the number my car put down on the dyno. The young tech said one of the reasons was the cheapie CAI that was on my car when I bought it and that I should start by putting the original back in. Can someone tell me if the standard air filter box for the GT will also fit my Cobra, and what years? (99-04?), before I start junk year divin'? Again, it was a great time and all of your cars are awesome. I'm glad I came. See you all in June. Thank you to the coordinators. Jim

You could research a good quality Cold Air Intake like JLT, BBK, C&L or others.

Yes, thanks. I was hoping to return it to stock cheaply and then decide what to do from there.

American Muscle's website lists different parts for aftermarket cold air intakes for a 96-04 GT, a 99-01 Cobra, and a 03-04 Cobra. Based off of this, I would bet that the GT and the Cobra used different stock intakes as well, but I can't say for sure.
