SAAC-MCR (Shelby American Automobile Club - Motor City Region) will be having an event at the Gilmore Museum this year. Event is reserved for Saturday Sept. 6, 2014, & we will have special parking for attendees cars. The event will be informal, to just enjoy the museum & meet other like minded Shelby & Mustang enthusiasts from other clubs in the Great Lakes region. There will not be a car show, just an informal gathering to enjoy the museum & each other. There might be some kind of special lunch available - still have to work on that. Discounted entry will be available. For those of you not familiar with the Gilmore Museum, it is in Hickory Corners, MI, northwest of Kalamazoo. Gilmore is a collection of buildings in a pastoral setting. Originally 7 red barn style buildings, several new modern buildings have been added, mainly supporting national club interests. There is also a working roadside diner on site, as well as a restored old style gas station. It is a very enjoyable place to visit, & I've been there several times over the years, & definitely worth visiting, even if you've been there before. The purpose of this note is to inform you of the event & the date, so you & your members can plan for it. More info will be forthcoming as we organize the event. Contact me if you have any questions. Hope to see you & your members there! Steve White SAAC-MCR, President
