WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB
BOARD MEETING
April 7, 2014
Present: Dave and Cindy Dunn, Rick Bishop, Gene Gibson, Ron Wilton,
Vicki Wilton, Phil Gibson, Dave and Heidi Mull, Rick May, Chris Stawasz, Kevin Heinig,
Scott Broekema, Jim and Lynn Trestrail, Julie Miller, Gary and Ginny Marble,
Darrel and Irene Meyering, Cindy and Kurt Kline, Carol and Neil Keegstra,
Bill Binning, Dave and Heidi Mull, Tim Wilton, Lori and Jeff Stolte,
Secretary's Report: The minutes were read and a motion was made and 2nd to approve
the report.
Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report was distributed and discussed and a motion was made to approve the report.
Old Business:
CLOTHING
The green show worker- shirts, pink t-shirts, pink hats and flags, with the ½” pocket, are in.
It is not necessary to have a flag on your car if you are going to North
Carolina next week, but they are encouraged.
Three of the worker shirts from last year have not been turned into Rick Bishop.
There are still 7 rooms left for the Color Tour to Traverse City in September 25th
Thru the 28th to Sugar Beach Resort.
MEMBERSHIP
As of today, we have 200 members to the WMMC club.
You don’t have to own a Mustang to be a member of our club, but we encourage it.
There are 36 people signed up for the Jack Redeker Party on April 26th. You must
Sign up with Carol Keegstra by April 12th. Bring you own drinks and a dish to pass.
We will meet at Rememberance Church, on 3 mile, at 10:00 A.M. and caravan to
Redeker’s home from there. Jack Redeker will provide the meat.
The Housman’s party will be June 21st. If it rains that day, it will be June 28th. Bring a
Dish to pass, your own drinks and your chairs, the Housman’s will provide the
Meat. Their address is 1761 Bauman Grove, Dorr, Mich. 49323,
The time of the Graduation of Keegstra’s Granddaughter on May 27th at the Assembly of
God Church on 44th st., will be determined at the board meeting on May 12th.
New Business:
Show and Shine at Borgman Ford on Wednesday June 25th from 5-8PM.
Grand Traverse Resort will have a Car Show on July 17th from 6-9PM.
The Zeeland Car Show will be Saturday,July 12th. They would like Mustangs from all
50 years. Especially from the 60’s and 70’s.
Dave Mull will get More information and Rick Bisop will send out an e-mail.
A correction on the May 10th Gilmore Museum Dust-Off. We will meet at the
D & W in Caledonia at 8:00a.m. and leave at 8:15 a.m.
Labor Day event at the Gingerman Race Track. There will be a Car Show
And Track event. More discussion later.
The Freedom Cuise will be June 25th-29th and will be at the DeltaPlex in Walker
And Fifth Third BallPark in Comstock Park. More discussion later. Rick Bishop

JUNE 14TH CAR SHOW at Tony Betten & Sons on Plainfield
Trucks will be parked separate from the Mustangs at our car show because
Of their size.
The Dash Plaques for our car show will be 2” x 3” wide. They will have 2 wheels on
The dash plaque representing 1964 and 2014.
17 cars are now registered for our June 14th Car Show that will be held at the
Betten Dealership on Plainfield.
The awards have been ordered by Phil and Gene Gibson. People will receive
The award when they get their dash plaque. You must have your registeration
Paper with you at the time.
For the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang we have we have the following items for sale:
23 Hats
24 T-Shirts
4 Med.
8 Large
8 X-Large
4 2X
A nice cooler with a picture of every year of the Mustang cars on it.
10 decks of playing cards
100 packs of statistics of the cars from each year
100 Posters, price determined later
1 book of the “50”years of the Mustang(for our club only)
1 Tin metal file folder
50 pin, logo
1 DVD (for our club only)
2 metal cars (on shelf), 3 car toppers.
1 Nylon Banner for our club only
2 Pennents
3- 50th year flag on a streamer(our club will keep one)
2 Gift baskets will be created by Carol Keegstra.
SOME of the above will be in a Raffel
Track event and car show at the Gingerman Race track on Labor Day
Weekend. More discussion later.
Rick May will check with Betten about parking cars in the new car showroom.
