Just bought my second Mustang, 1966 convertible, after a 24 year recess. Before I tear the whole brake system apart, here's my problem. When I push the power assisted pedal down, there is about 6-8 inches of travel before the system starts to slow the car down. At stoppage, there is only about an inch before the pedal eventually bottoms out. The CD shop manual doesn't say much about this. Is it just adjustment, needs a new master, pads (disc front/drum rear), shoes rear, adjustment rear or front?? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
