The meeting was called to order by President Rick Bishop at 705 pm.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and a correction was make to the location of the Chili Cook Off. It will be in the upstairs area of the church as John Clor will be visiting.
After the correction a motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Lori Stolte distributed the Treasury report. The report was reviewed and a motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the Treasury Report.
Paula Capizzi has volunteered to do the Hoofbeat for the Club. Rick will use that format for his monthly update and she will do a quarterly newsletter. Email Paula regarding submissions.
Rick reports that he has mailed about 95 letters to sponsors for our 2016 Show.
Heidi and Dave report that about 75 people have responded and reserved for the Pizza Party. She is requesting helpers to set up at 4:00 pm.
The Chili Cook Off will be March 12 at Remembrance Church. Everyone will bring their own chili, salad or dessert to share. Please RSVP to Dave and Heidi so they have a count. To reserve: please e-mail the Mull’s at spiceman@altelco.net or call 616 892 7794. Chris S will check with Kevin H about using the upstairs area rather than the downstairs. THE CHILI NIGHT WILL BE HELD DOWNSTAIRS AT THE CHURCH.
Dave and Heidi might also set up a spring cruise to coincide with National Mustang Day on April 17, 2017.
If anyone wants to set up a picnic or cruise, please contact the Mulls.
Dave Dunn has an order going in to the supplier.
We may try to do a show shirt to sell at the show but time may not allow us.
The big Ford Trailer cannot come. The Mid Michigan Show will be the next day after ours. Rick advised Betten that we would like to have vendors and swap meet space. With the construction at their site we do not have room.
The new location for the Show is Frontline Church at 5 Mile and Plainfield. They have enough space for vendors and possibly a swap meet. The church would like us to display cars in the church for 2 weeks prior to the show. Tom Miller feels the fire marshal will not allow that display. The church would like us to use their welcome area as our registration area. They would like to provide food for sale as well. They are excited to have the show at their location. More details will come regarding the Car Show.
A long time was spent discussing the Car Classes for the Show. By the end of the meeting the classes had been determined.
Chris reported on many suggestions for the show made by the other Clubs at the forum. We discussed Goody Bags, the price to register, the kind of awards, the number of awards, combining classes of cars, quality of awards and door prizes among other things.
The classes of the cars for the show were discussed and the classes were determined. The class designation will be attached to this document.
Meeting was adjourned at 925 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail, Secretary
