WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB BOARD MEETING MAY 9, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm by President, Rick Bishop.
Present were: Rick Bishop, Dave and Heidi Mull, Chris, Traci and Mary Stawasz, Carol and Neil Keegstra, Lori Stolte, Bill Binning, Ron Wilton, Dave and Cindy Dunn, Gary and Ginny Marble, Scott Broekema, Phil Gibson, Tom and Julie Miller, Richard Engel and Lynn Trestrail.
Secretary: The minutes from the April meeting were read. The drawing for the two $50 gift cards will include all pre-registered cars. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasurer: The report was distributed and Lori explained each line item. She also included a report of show expenses and income over the last few years, the amounts we contributed to charities and which charities were included. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the Treasury report.
The Club Calendar is very full. Access the website for the most up to date information.
WMMC show set up is Friday June 17 at Aberdeen Reformed Church at 6 pm. We are only having 150 goodie bags so it should be a quick session if we have many volunteers.
Start of the day volunteers for the show should plan to be there by 7 am.
If you are planning to go to Houseman’s on July 29 from 5-9 please RSVP directly to them.
If you are interested in any Club clothing items, please contact Dave and Cindy Dunn.
There are 3 rooms left for the Fall Cruise up north.
Mark Long is still recovering from his shoulder surgery so he was not present for an updated membership report.
Phil reported that Gene is recovering from surgery and so far we have 51 pre-regs for the show.
The Creston Car Show the later afternoon on the same day as WMMC show is canceled.
If you want to volunteer for the show, please contact Traci Stawasz.
Chris Stawasz has been in contact with Frontline Church. He presented a layout of the parking lot, and said that the details are being worked out with their pastor. He will have a map to explain where everything will be and will be sure the parking staff will be aware of where to direct the cars. We will be ordering 2 standard port a potties, 2 handicapped accessible port a potties and 2 wash sinks. There was a long discussion about show details.
Registration will be inside the church at their Welcome Center. We will put up a banner before the show to advertise it.
Members of WMMC will take their cars up a couple weekends before the show during the church service to increase interest and excitement from the congregation. We may have a yogurt trailer at the show for a dessert item. The Freedom Cruise will happen the same weekend.
After a lot of discussion about the show, the meeting was adjourned at 908 pm. The next meeting is June 13, 2016 at 7 pm at Aberdeen Reformed Church.
