Has anyone ever replaced what I call the subfloor inner frame rails on a classic Mustang? They are the rails that run from the firewall backward and are spot welded to the floor pan. Mine are really beat up and I am questioning the structural integrity (plus I want to add subframe connectors). I can order the replacements parts, but have no skill at welding or metal fabrication. I would want it done right but am thinking most shops would charge the $75 mechanical rate to do so. That could get pricey very quick. Any sugestions to people I should talk to or someone that could help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Update - Rick May from the club is helping me out. Work should be done in a couple of weeks.

I'm knee deep in the same repairs. I called Mustang Unlimited and received some good advice from Kevin in technical and am doing all the work myself. Wish you luck, this is more extensive than anything I've done before. Attachments:

This is how my drivers side inner frame rail turned out. Currently I'm replacing the rear floor over the rear end and rear sub-frames. How did your project turn out? Did you take any pictures? I learned quickly to use a air hammer with a wide flat tip and a good pry bar. Spot weld cutters weren't as effective (seeing there is about 200 spot welds). Attachments:
