MCA: Tom Miller reports that our Club has received the President’s Award from the MCA. For the Club to earn that they need to have cruises, a show, attend other shows. This award will be on display at the Holiday Party. To earn the President’s award the Club must earn at least 100 points by doing various things. Have a Club Cruise, new members joining the Club, new members joining MCA, going to National shows, donating to Charities, hosting a car show and other items give us points as a Club.
To maintain a regional MCA Club, we must have all club officers and at least 10 members belong to MCA. Right now we have 39 members in MCA. Five are expired, we do not have numbers for 4 of them and 2 have invalid numbers.
3 cars from WMMC received a gold award at the Kansas City MCA show.
Tom will update the Board on MCA judging at the next meeting.
Old Business: Chris reported that Betsy from Borgman reported that several non-members were able to obtain food tickets for their meal at the Metro Cruise. Next year we will have a system in place to limit this Perhaps having a person with a roster near Steve when he distributes tickets will be beneficial. This will be worked out.
New Business: Rick advised the members present that he met a person who will make WMMC neon clocks. The neon can be red or blue. The clocks are normally $129 each but if there is an order for 10 or more clocks, he will sell them for $80/clock plus shipping. We decided that the Club should order one to raffle at the Show next summer. If others are interested, please contact Rick Bishop directly. The check should be made out to WMMC and go to Lori Stolte. Please designate if you want the clock neon in Blue or Red. You can find a sample of his clocks on the Facebook page, Man Cave Accessories.
Michael and Kristine Campbell have been asked by the Mustang Museum to put their Mustang II Stallion on display for six months.
Carol, Gary and Chris all looked at heavy duty tables for the Club to purchase. The best deal and the best table was found at Menards. The tables that were found were rated to hold 1200 pounds. 10 tables were ordered. Chris or Gary will pick up the tables and they will be stored in the trailer. The old wooden tables will be sold or discarded if broken. Dave Dunn said he has a carpet remnant that can be put on the floor of the trailer so that the new tables will not get scratched when slid into storage in the trailer.
Chris also reminded anyone who spent money for items for the Club be sure to turn in the receipt for reimbursement. He reiterated that he does not want Club members to incur expenses.
The meeting was adjourned at 850 pm.
The next meeting is on October 9 at 7:00 pm at Aberdeen Church.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail
WMMC Secretary
