September 10, 2018 MCA Report
The Granite State Mustang Grand National show is in the books and with it another show season is done. The show was at the Budweiser plant in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The weather was the best we had all year. Partly sunny not to warm. The show field was the grounds between the plant and the stables for the Clydesdales where they train the horses to pull the famous wagons.
The West Michigan Mustang Club did well with 4 cars going, all 4 won awards
The club won the President’s award for the 2nd year in a row.
Dave & Cindy Dunn won Silver (first MCA show)
Dick Engel won Gold award
Julie & Tom Miller won Gold award
Jeff & Lori Stolte won Gold award
Also
Dick Engel in winning the Best Concours Prestige Award for 1964 1/2 -1978
Julie & Tom Miller in winning Best Modified Pinnacle Award 2005-2009
We are looking forward to next year!
2019 Shows are in Houston, Fredericksburg, VA, Topeka, KS and Minneapolis, MN.
2019 WMMC Show Information:
The show date is June 8, 2019. The show will again be at Frontline Church. They are wanting to “rent” their lot to the Club. Rather than make an end of show donation like we have done for a couple years, we will pay rent up front. This will allow us to set up our goody bags on Friday on site, get the lot ready, use the lobby and restrooms and have the show on the lot. The church will not be having a carnival or any church activity the day of our show. We will be able to rent one less port a potty. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to pay the rent and go to Frontline for our 2019 show.
Clarence Worst wants to donate the largest trophy in our show in honor and memory of his fallen VietNam brothers.
New Business: Chris announced that he will not be running for President nor will he be Show Chairman. Kevin G. would like to be Show Chairman. Chris stated that his work schedule is variable and that makes it difficult to attend all functions with the Club. Lynn announced last month that she is stepping down as Secretary so that makes two vacancies on the Board. Members are asked to consider this and volunteer prior to our election in November at our Holiday celebration.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail
Secretary
