February 11, 2019 MCA Report
Based on the responses received of the MCA spending $12,500 in 2019 to have a display at the Mustang Owners Museum. We had 13 members respond to an email regarding this vote and it was far from unanimous.
The majority of the responses voiced an opinion in favor of the Mustang Owners Museum display because they thought it would be good to be visible to the larger Mustang community and it should be part of such a museum. Those who had an unfavorable response questioned the payback for the $12,500 to $15,000 annual expense. They cited it would take at least 250 new memberships annually to pay for the itself (more if they were $35 or $25 memberships) and wondered if it was the best way to spend money if recruiting was a goal.
Furthermore, it was mentioned that likely most of the people who will tour the museum would be aware of the MCA as an organization before going to the museum. Some questioned the motivation to be involved now given some of the past history with the Mustang museum efforts.
At the last Board of Directors meeting it was decided that we will pursue Digital voting for Standard members as well as Digital members starting with this year’s elections. We need your help to make this happen. Please make sure that MCA has the correct email addresses on file!
