West Michigan Mustang Club Virtual Board Meeting 1.11.2021
The Meeting was called to order at 702 pm.
Present were Joe DiLorenzo, Gene Gibson, Phil Gibson, Carol Keegstra, Dave and Heidi Mull, Lori Stolte, Tom and Julie Miller, Jeremy Hoard, Maggie Turner, Kevin Guzniczak and Lynn Trestrail.
Secretary report: The Secretary report from the December meeting was read. There were no additions nor corrections. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasury: The Treasury report was emailed to members earlier in the day. Lori reviewed the December and January reports and answered questions. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the report.
Membership: Lori reports that we currently have 98 paid members and stated she has about 10 more memberships to process at home.
Activities: Heidi reported that Ronda would again like to have a summer picnic. The date she has picked is June 19 from 4-8 pm. There will be more information in the coming months.
Kevin mentioned that the Michigan International Speedway has contacted the Club about having a show at their location in conjunction with a race. They are looking at an August 20-22, 2021 date. MIS would like to know how many people are interested. We will put this out to membership to see if there is interest. Many are cautious to commit at this time due to the virus situation. Phil will put this on Facebook to see how many might be interested.
Kevin also mentioned a road trip to the Ford Garage in Dearborn. Someone mentioned it could be part of the Mustang Day Cruise. We need to wait until restaurants are open. It was mentioned that it is a long drive to go there and back in one day. We will discuss more in the future. Maybe this should be an overnight trip? Again, it will depend on the virus and regulations with reopening.
Merchandise: Joe mentioned that he will have a complete inventory at the next meeting. There was no other merchandise news.
MCA: Tom reported that the MCA is still planning on everything. Members can refer to last months minutes to see the MCA schedule.
They will follow CBC regulations for gathering. Check the MCA website to keep up with any changes.

400 car field
Hotel’s will be available after January 1.
Old Business: The DJ equipment is still in storage. We will pursue sales when pandemic regulations are lifted.
Show Business: There was a lot of discussion about the Show. Most agreed that we will not be able to have our regular style ‘car show.’ We may not be able to use inside space at the church. There was discussion about having an alternate “Show and Shine.” We wouldn’t need to do registration, trophies, or raffle table. We might be able to do a 50/50 raffle. There is some space by the front door that would provide cover for us but any windy or rainy weather would limit our capabilities. We would need to order port-a-johns and wash stations. We would want to have a couple Food Vendors. Since this would be the 40th anniversary of the WMMC, we could provide dash plaques for all who come. We could have a DJ if available. We do have a couple tents we could use for some outside area. We can put a notice about a Show and Shine in the Hoofbeats as time gets closer. Kevin will contact the Ford Truck to see if he could be present. We would use our original Show date. We cannot make a final decision at this time. We can get some things in order and then “pull the trigger” to go forward if conditions permit.
New Business: If any members hear of birthday drives, or want to plan an ice cream run, they should pick a destination, plan a route, pick a date and inform the Club.
Our next meeting will be February 8 at 7 pm. It will be a virtual meeting. If you want to join, please contact Kevin so he can send the meeting invitation to you.
A motion was made, 2nd and passed to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:47 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail, WMMC Secretary
