WEST MICHIGAN MUSTNAG CLUB POST SHOW WRAP UP MEETING 6-14-2021
Frontline Church – Plainfield and 5 Mile
The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:05 pm.
Present were Gene Gibson, Jeremy and Erin Hoard, Carol Keegstra, Lori Stolte, Joe DiLorenzo, Maggie Turner, Jack VanArtsen, Kevin Guzniczak and Lynn Trestrail.
Secretary Report: The Secretary Report was read. There were no corrections nor addition. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasury Report: Lori gave her regular treasury report at the 6-7-21 meeting. The next report will be at the August meeting. The Show treasury report will follow.
Membership Report: We had several folks joining at the Show and Shine or previous members renewed their memberships. Total membership report will be in August.
MCA Report: Lori Stolte reported that Tom and Julie Miller got gold at the Kansas City MCA show. Dave and Cindy Dunn also won gold! Dick and Sue Engel got another chip to be one step closer to their next award! Congratulations to all these members for their very hard work and attention to detail! Way to make WMMC proud!
WMMC Show and Shine Results
Much to our surprise and absolute delight, we had 180 vehicles for our show! It started our cloudy and foggy but transitioned to a beautiful day. We did have some expenses for printing, the port-a-potties, and our DJ.
Marvin Mercury (A.K.A. Steve Morgan) was our show DJ and did a wonderful job of playing great songs and keeping us updated on the agenda of the show!
Our Merchandise sales were successful. Joe stated that we will need to restock. The last time he talked to our vendor, the plates for the screen prints had not been found. We may need to pay for a new set up for our next order. (Our previous supplier passed away during Covid 19.)
The prize of the $100 bill got the most tickets. The $50 bill was second in ticket amounts and the gift card box was 3rd.
Several of our members donated items for the raffle. A heartfelt thanks to all of you. We could not have had the raffle without that!
We had a great group of volunteers and again, without volunteers, you cannot do a show! You are invaluable to us and helped make this show a SUCCESS! Warmest thanks.
A new feature this year was the “rev up” after the National Anthem. This action signaled the ‘official start’ of the show.
We did have two food trucks that provided refreshments. River City Cup and Cake and Patty Matters were both at the show and were a hit. We will be sure to confirm trucks for next year and may change the start time for them.
Revive was one of the vendors at the show. Kan did a demonstration of some protective wrap on a vehicle.
Marcus with Ford Performance came to the show and recommended that everyone complete the Ford Registry. The post just went live and you need your VIN, mileage and color to register. Ford Performance also donated a 50 years of Mustangs poster, a banner and a GT Book, a socket set and a shifter.
We are discussing different locations for the port a potties. They were somewhat far away, especially anyone with mobility issues.
It was suggested that we have a judged show next year rather than participant judged show. This will be discussed more at future meetings when planning our show.
The Club would like to thank Dave and Heidi Mull for their years of dedicated service as our Activities Directors. They have planned day trips, weekend trips, picnics and parties. They have done an awesome job and the Club appreciates all of the hard work. Thanks and more thanks to Heidi and Dave!!!
The next meeting will be August 9 at Frontline Church. Planning our show for 2022 will begin in earnest at that meeting.
Please watch the calendar, Facebook Page and email communications to updates on activities. If you want to plan an evening or afternoon ice cream run or something similar, please pick a date and make a plan and we will get it posted and sent to members. Just contact an officer.
The meeting was adjourned shortly after 8 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Plummer Trestrail
WMMC Secretary
