WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB BOARD MEETING MARCH 13, 2023 BORGMAN FORD MEETING ROOM
Present were: Maggie Turner, Lori Stolte, Krista Boomers, Ginny and Gary Marble, Joe DiLorenzo, Rick May, Dan Lemons, Marty Mieras and Lynn Trestrail.
The meeting was called to order by the President at 636 pm.
Secretary Report: The secretary report was read. There were no additions nor corrections. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasury Report: The Treasury report was distributed. Lori reviewed all entries and details of the report. There were no additions nor corrections. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the report.
Membership report: Lori reported that we currently have 149 current members.
Merchandise: Gary and Ginny reported that some items were sold at chili night. He also delivered name tags that had been ordered. He will have all of our stock on sale at the show.
Activities: Chili dinner was a success and a lot of fun! Our speaker had to cancel late due to a family emergency, but Lori had an activity planned and it was a great way to get to meet new members and talk about our cars. Thanks, Lori!
Jeremy and Marty are working on a cruise route for Mustang Day May 6. After some discussion it was decided that the main destination for our cruise would be Ludington. The details will be worked out.
Unfinished Business: We are trying to find a summer picnic site for either July 24 or 25. Several County parks were contacted and the price ranged from $400- 700. City parks have varied amenities, but few have parking for so many Mustangs. The search will continue. Watch future communications for updates.
MCA: The MCA show in Indianapolis July 28-30 is sold out. You can still go to Indie to be a show spectator.
The Mustang/Camaro show in Kalamazoo is July 8. More details to come.
The Gingerman Racetrack in South Haven wondered if the Club would like an outing there. It would cost about $900 to rent for an afternoon. They will donate a gift card to their gift shop for our show.
Show Business: Gary will check with Matt at Betten/Baker about shirts, chairs, tables and the Mustang Truck.
A few suggestions were made for a coffee truck, hopefully one with donuts. We will also look for an ice cream truck.
Lynn has a friend living in Coopersville and will check with her regarding something local.
Per Rick May, Gene will go Betten Baker when the weather is clear to measure the lot and develop a lay out.
2 port-a- potties and one wash station have been ordered and paid for.
The next outing is a visit to TerryTown RV and Classic Car Museum on March 25. RSVP to Gary or Lynn if you plan to go. We will meet there at 10 am.
The next meeting is April 10 at 630 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Plummer Trestrail
WMMC Secretary
