A big thanks to Dave Dunn for doing the Hoofbeat this time.
It looks like we are all ready for the June car show. All the printing is completed.
Kevin Heinig will check with 2 companys about the Physical Damage Insurance for the club trailer..
New Business:
The Mustang Club of America must approve our design for their logo on our trailer before we can proceed. If it is too costly, then we will do our own logo. Various ideas were discussed.
Chris Stawasz checked with one Graphic Design company and for the WMMC emblem to be 48" tall on the side and 36" on the back, with no printing, it could cost about $500 because it is 3 colors Perhaps, we could just do the sides of the trailer.
Crop Marks Printing has done our printing for us in the past and they now do Graphic Designs.
Dave Dunn and Chris Stawasz will check into this later and more discussion will follow. It was also discussed to just have WMMC spelled out in letters of one contrasting color.
Northpointe Christian High School has scheduled May 28, 2013 for the senior class graduation. The scheduled cruise will be to the Childrens Museum downtown.
They will need 35-40 Mustangs from our club. More discussion later.
September 14, 2013 will be the Show and Shine at Keller Ford. Borgman and Barber
Ford would like to schedule a Show and Shine with us, but no date has been set yet.
Kevin Heinig will check with Borgman and Barber Ford to get ideas.
Car Show:
Rick Bishop received a car registration for our car show from Jacksonville, Alabama. He also heard from some people from Georgia. We are getting some interest in coming to
our car show from people from other states.
Cindy Dunn stated that the women's T-shirts cost more than the men's T-shirts. She passed around a golf shirt with a silky material and embroidery that would cost about $26 plus tax
per shirt. The women's shirts are shorter in length with a shorter sleeve.
Some suggestions for the printing for the shirts for the people who work at the show on Saturday and also Friday nite was"Event Staff", "WMMC Staff", or just plain "Staff". More discussion later. The color for the shirts will be Safety Green.
It was also suggested that all the workers at the show turn in their shirts on Saturday nite and we will wash and store them and use them again next year. If the workers choose to buy them instead, it will cost them $10. More discussion on this later.
A place for the Vendor at our car show will be $15. It was suggested that 3 Food Vendors should be at our car show this year. Hopefully Malissa's cupcakes will be back again
this year.
It was suggested that we draw and mark the area for the Vendors this year, so there is no confusion as to where they are to be located and how much area each one gets.
Rick Bishop was contacted by a woman who works at S&S, a club for abused women. It was decided by the board instead of having a booth, this women could pass out her business card via the Goody Bag.
When people register for the car show in June, there will be an area on the registration form to be checked if they are interested in receiving a Speedway Racing Book.
We have some nice coffee mugs from prior car shows that we are going to give away as door prizes this year.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15p.m.
Respectfully submitted
