WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB VIRTUAL BOARD MEETING 3.8.2021
The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:03 pm.
Present were: Gene Gibson, Phil Gibson, Joe DiLorenzo, Maggie Turner, Carol Keegstra, Dave & Heidi Mull, Tom and Julie Miller, Jeremy Hoard, Vicki Wilton, Rick Bishop, Lori Stolte, Kevin Guzniczak and Lynn Trestrail.
Secretary report: The minutes of the last meeting were read. There were no additions nor corrections. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasurer report: The treasury report had been emailed to members. Lori reviewed the report. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the report.
Membership: In Suellen’s absence, Lori reported that we now have 146 members. The email for the new member was added to MailChimp.
Activities: Ronda’s party is on the calendar for June 19th from 4-8 pm. More information will come as we get closer to the time.
Mustang Day is going to be celebrated May 1. We will do a cruise to Turkeyville. Complete directions will be distributed before we leave so nobody gets lost or separated. Mull’s will order window clings before the cruise.
Merchandise: Joe reported that we have a lot of older shirts from a few years ago. We will sell them for $5.00. Since we have not been meeting or gathering in person the requests for merchandise has been low.
MCA: Tom reported that MCA renewed their sponsorship of the Mustang Owners Museum. The MCA shows are still as planned. They have added a show in October in Tucson, AZ. Any points earned at that show will go toward 2022.
Show Business: Jeremy Hoard has agreed to co-chair the show with Kevin. This will be a good opportunity for him to learn the ropes on a smaller scale show before going to a full show. Thank you, Jeremy! We will only be renting the parking lot of Frontline Church. We will not have inside access and our rent will be cut in half. We will have access to electrical (110) power.
Kevin had a flyer prepared for our show and shine. There were some suggestions made for a few changes on the flyer. After those changes, the flyer will be printed and distributed. CROP MARKS did printing for us in the past.
Kevin and Jeremy will contact food vendors for our show. We have discussed a ‘breakfast’ type truck, a ‘main meal’ type truck and maybe even a dessert truck! Several vendors will be contacted in hopes of getting a couple.
They will also contact merchandise vendors.
Our next meeting in April will be virtual, also. We will assess Covid -19 guidelines prior to a May meeting.
Lynn and Jeremy Hoard attended the virtual MOCSEM meeting. Our Club was praised by John Clor who has attended several events with us. They shared suggestions from the meeting about promoting the club, encouraging younger members, ways to get the word out about our Club and help for members who have project cars.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:12 pm
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail, Secretary
