Car Show Report:
The financial report from the show indicates that we made a profit and will be able to donate to our charities. We need to determine how much the charities will receive.
Phil Gibson took lots of pictures and they are posted on the Club Facebook page. He also noticed many good comments about the show on FB. Many noticed how hard the workers worked!
Steve made regular announcements so keep folks aware of what was happening. Garage Kept, Lori’s Voice and GR Auto Gallery all had things to say either about their businesses or what Lori’s Voice does for the community.
We need to have the Used Car Manager involved in planning next year’s show. The plan is to have the show at the same location next year.
Some of the classes that were very big this year will need to be split up for next year.
We need to get more port a potties.
We need to double the number of registration volunteers. We need to encourage everyone to pre-register. We may consider changing the registration time also. It could go till 10:30 rather than 11:00 and then there would not be ballot distribution confusion.
We may consider having the pre-show meeting at the show site next year. Perhaps that would help prevent show day glitches.
Smokey B’s Food Truck has already committed to coming to the show next year. The lines for Smokey B’s and Chick-Fil-A were always long but they seemed happy with their sales.
Hopefully we can secure a larger room to count ballots.
We need new tires for the Club trailer.
The meeting was adjourned at 750 pm. The next meeting is August 14.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Plummer Trestrail
