Saturday, August 10, is the date for the 41st annual Michiana Mustangs Mustang and Ford car show (rain or shine). For the seventh consecutive year, the show will take place at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus campus in Middlebury, IN.
The show is open to all Mustangs and Ford-powered vehicles. This year there are 15 Mustang and 7 Ford popular vote classes, with awards presented to the top three cars in each class, as well as a ‘Best of Show’ award. Michiana Mustangs member cars are competing in their own class, separate from all other classes. There is a $100.00 prize to the visiting car club entering the most cars in the show.
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., participant voting begins at 10:30, and awards are scheduled to be presented at 3:30 p.m. Early registration (before August 1) is $15.00 per vehicle. After July 31, the entry fee is $20.00 per vehicle.
Along with the show grounds, the Essenhaus campus includes an Amish-style restaurant that offers multiple dining options including Menu, Buffet, and Family Style. The attached bakery features breads, rolls, cookies, and 30 varieties of pie available fresh from the oven. Originally homestead buildings, five quaint gift shops have been renovated and now exist as a charming collection of gift shops. Featuring inspirational gifts, artwork, games, lake, coastal and farmhouse-inspired décor, distinctive fashion, unique handbags, jewelry, quilts, fragrances, candles, and much more.
