runs until 4:00PM. The route will be I75 to M46 then exit 149.
Angelo's Italian Eatery in Kalamazoo was a suggested place to have Pizza and Ice Cream
for an event for club members. They are open Monday - Saturday
Perhaps we could combine it with the "Southern Color Tour" in October, 2013.
It was mentioned that maybe they would like to become a Sponsor of our car show
next year. More discussion later.
Taco Nite is scheduled for November 9, 2013. It will run from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. at
Rememberance Church. The workers plan on arriving at 5:00PM. The movie will be
chosen by Phil Gibson. Some suggestions for movies were: "Bambie"and "Snow
White" (just kidding!!) and "Getaway"(about a Shelby Mustang).
It was discussed that the Christmas Party will be January 4, 2014. Several places
were suggested such as Brann's Banquet room at 50th and Division. It was over
$500 to rent this room and $14-$19pp for the meal. They can accomodate more than
80 people.
Another suggestion was at the Brann's restaurant for about $11pp with a limit of
80 people. We could cut off registration at 80 people if we decide to use the
restaurant. It was also suggested that we have our Christmas Party at Rememberance
Church. Kevin Heinig will check for availablity, catering and cost.
Rick Bishop will check with his neighbors who are in the catering busines. He will check
on catering a large number of people.
Car Show:
Our car show will be in June, 2014.There were several good ideas suggested about doing
something different next year to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang.
Suggestions:
1. A small plaque for everyone that attends our car show.
2. Perhaps "best" in class and the Betten Dealershop would pick one winner for best
of show.
3. Raise the entry fee.
More discussion is needed on changes for our car show in June.
Cindy Jacobs would like to have a cook-out for club members at her house. Everyone
bring a dish to pass and she will have hot dogs. She will also have a bon fire. You are
requested not to bring your "Mustangs" because she has a gravel road. If the weather
is bad, she has a pole barn that will accomadate a limited number of people. Rick
Bishop( her selected "other') will send out an e-mail to people.
No date has been determined, so we will need much more discussion later.
The new Trailer that is 1 year old had some maintence done at no charge to the club.
It was voted upon and passed to purchase a $50-$70 vent cover to prevent water leakage
on the roof and to replace the weather stripping.
Lynn Plummer has agreed to do the Hoofbeat again in January, 2014.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45p.m.
Respectfully submitted
Vicki Wilton, Secretary
