WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB JUNE 8, 2015
The meeting was held in the downstairs conference room of the Tony Betten Used Car Sales Building.
Present were: Rick and Cindy Bishop, Gene Gibson, Phil Gibson, Scott Broekema, Ron and Vicki Wilton, Neal and Carol Keegstra, Tom and Julie Miller, Cindy and Dave Dunn, Gary and Ginny Marble, Joe DiLorenzo, Rick May, Kurt and Cindy Kline, Dave and Heidi Mill, Lori Stolte, Lynn Trestrail and new member Rob Knierim.
President Rick Bishop called the meeting to order at 7 pm.
Diane Cisler was in an accident in her Mustang and sustained various injuries. The decision had not been made on the car.
Steve Morgan our DJ for the show will be playing the National Anthem at 900 am on the day of the show. Chris Stawacz, Jim Trestrail and Katie DeBoer are to assist with being the DJ.
Rick will talk to Meijer on Wed June 10th regarding the cake and parking cars at their lot. Rick will also talk to Glen about Betten moving their cars to the spare lot next door and/or parking them a little closer to leave more room for the show.
Secretary: The minutes of the meeting were read and a motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasurer: The Treasury Report was distributed and the largest expense was the awards for the show. We have a great balance and most of the show expenses have already been covered.
Motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the Treasury Report.
Old Business: The recall on the Airbag switch has been expanded to models from 2005-2009. You contact the Ford Dealer with your VIN number and he will let you know if your vehicle is included.
A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve for the Club to pay for ice cream after the wrap up meeting on June 29.
Gale Halderman hosted several club members at his home and showed off his Mustang Memorabilia. It was a nice drive and he was very welcoming to all present. He was one of the design engineers for the Mustangs and worked on the clay model. Mr. Zacado was also present.
Dave and Cindy report that the club clothing is ready for the show. Extra show shirts have been ordered and arrived.
WMMC pens have been ordered for the goody bags and are being donated by the Trestrails.
The Mulls report that there is one room left for the color tour. Call Dave or Heidi if interested in going. They are looking into planning a color tour for fall 2016 to the “Crooked Tree Lodge” north of Petoskey. There are 42 room including suites and 30 rooms are being reserved.
Rick reports that driving the NASCAR at the Richard Petty Experience in Disney was a lot of fun.
1-2 rooms are left at Mustang Memories. Contact Rick to reserve a room, Marty Mears 3 Indie Pace Cars will be in the Magazine.
New member Rob Knierim said his wife’s business “Show Your Logo” can do any logo pieces the Club would want. He and Dave will compare pricing.
Phil Gibson announced the website is ready and there was a vote to get the website active. There is a “Flicker” page to which members can upload three pictures of their cars and write a brief note.
Cheers will have a couple Mustang nights. July 7 and August 11 are the nights.
SHOW BUSINESS:
We have 103 pre-registered for the show. We have 17 ½ sponsors and more are coming.
Our member Bob Wiegand will be donating t-shirts, hats, pens, door prizes, goody bag things and raffle items.
Carol reports we will have 1000 pieces of cake and the cost will be shared with Betten.
The Youth Group will again have the food booth.
A confirmed schedule will be finalized at the June 22 meeting.
Activities: The summer is full of activities.

June 27 Car Show 8 am to 3 pm. Workers will have subs provided after the show and before the cruise to the Veteran’s Park. The Cruise will be followed by the concert by Madison Rising. The Big Ford Truck will arrive at 6 am on the day of the Show.
June 28 Blessing of the Rides at the Veteran’s Home at 200 pm.
June 29 Wrap up meeting after the show followed by Club Purchased ice cream!
July 4 Kentwood July 4th parade. Meeting by Kentucky Fried Chicken on Eastern just south of 52nd. Assemble at 830 am. Breakfast will be available at the Firehouse or the old Family Fare between 7 and 11 am. More info as time draws closer.
July 7 “Cheers” hosting Mustang Night
July 10 and 11 Zeeland Car show and Show and Shine
July 13 Culver’s in Grand Haven. Call Gary Marble if going 616 550 8048. There is limited space.
July 16 Big Boy in Grandville
July 18 is the date for the Summer Picnic at Houseman’s Bring own beverage, chairs and dish to pass. RSVP to Carol Keegstra by July 11.
July 18 is also Old Fort Mustangers in Ft. Wayne

July 31 Car show at Rick and Cindy’s church in Charlotte. Ice Cream to follow. Lawrence Ave United Methodist
August 2 Lunch picnic at Cisler’s if Diane is feeling ok.
