Uccello’s Meeting Room
The meeting was called to order by President, Rick Bishop, at 700 pm.
Present were: Neil and Carol Keegstra, Cindy Kline, Kevin and Ruth Heinig, Joe DiLorenzo, Gary and Ginny Marble, Bill Binning, Dave and Cindy Dunn, Lori Stolte, Scott Broekema, Chris Stawacz, Gene and Phil Gibson, Rick May, Ron and Vicki Wilton, Dave and Heidi Mull, Tom and Julie Miller, Rick Bishop and Lynn Trestrail.
The minutes of the October meeting were read and a motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
The Treasury report was reviewed. The Treasury report was accepted.
Old Business: Ron reported that they received a warm thank you note from the Veterans Home Wilton’s reported that $100 in clothing, sweatpants etc was donated to the Veterans Home. At the August 10 meeting it was noted that $500 was earmarked to donate to the Veterans so Ron and Dave Dunn will determine who will shop. It was mentioned that socks are always needed also.
Nobody has been in touch with Roz about the cover for the trailer. One member noted that Roz has had some medical problems and nobody has contacted her.
Rick noted that when using the car bag, you still need to cover your car with your regular car cover.
Recommendations for alternate locations for the Car Show are being pursued. Our Club is rapidly outgrowing the Betten site. We had many complaints this year that there was no room for vendors. These complaints were sent to Rick and other members after the show. Therefore, we are looking for a larger site. Everyone was asked to investigate possibilities for the 2nd Saturday in June 2016 for our show and bring the details to the December meeting.
Carol reports that the plan for the Christmas celebration is in place. Adelaine Leigh will be doing the catering. We will have 3 meats, red skin potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, butter, beverages and dessert. The dinner is $25/couple, $12.50 per single. Payment / reservation must be made to Carol before 12/24/16. If you have not made a reservation and payment, you will not be admitted to the dinner. People are asked to arrive at 5 pm. Social time and a short meeting at 500 pm. At 530 pm we will have voting for officers. At 600 pm we will have dinner. The building must be vacated by 1000 pm. All help with clean-up is needed and appreciated.
Merchandise: Dave has nothing to report.
Fall Cruise: Dave and Heidi report the block of rooms at the Lodge is reserved. There are 2 – two bedroom, one bath suites available and 3 king sized rooms.
Membership: Bill Binning reports that we have 263 members. We have a new member, Larry Cook.
MCA: Cindy Kline reports that there is nothing new from the MCA.
Rick reports that the hotel at the Niagara show is nearly completely booked. There was some discussion about the trip to Niagara and Lori Stolte reported that “an enhanced” drivers license
will serve to cross the Canadian borders. Dave Dunn noted that people need to get an international plan for their cell phone to avoid massive roaming charges.
Gene Gibson has volunteered to go to Betten and get the things that belong to the Club. They are aware that we are meeting elsewhere due to handicapped accessibility.
Ron was asked if he found the Tax ID number for the club and that has not been found.
Dave and Heidi asked if anyone is interested in a Spring Trip to Archibald, Ohio.
While we like meeting at Uccello’s and like the food we can get for dinner, the room is just too loud and it is very difficult to hold a meeting there. The December meeting will be at the Aberdeen Reformed Church at 1000 Aberdeen NE at Aberdeen and Diamond. Scott was able to secure a meeting room for the club. We will meet December 14 at 700 pm. Anyone interested in dinner should meet at Cheer’s at 500 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail, Secretary
