West Michigan Mustang Club Meeting March 14, 2016
Present were Rick Bishop, Scott and Gail Broekema, Neil and Carol Keegstra, Carl and Patty Shrader, Gene Gibson, Phil Gibson, Joe DiLorenzo, Ron and Vicki Wilton, Dave and Heidi Mull, Sue and Richard Engel, Chris Stawasz, Dave and Cindy Dunn, Gary and Ginny Marble, Tom and Julie Miller, Jeff and Lori Stolte, Jim and Lynn Trestrail.
The meeting was held at Aberdeen Reformed Church and was called to order at 705 pm.
Secretary report: Everyone present at the meeting had reviewed the minutes. There were no corrections nor additions. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes. It was agreed that everyone will review the minutes on the website prior to the meeting and bring any corrections, questions or changes with them to the next meeting.
Treasurer’s report: The Treasurer’s report was distributed, reviewed and discussed. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the report.
Membership: no update on membership other than for members who have not yet submitted dues, they need to do so. Mark Long got his computer printer fixed and will be sending out membership cards. He is also having shoulder surgery and prayers are requested.
About 60 People came to pizza night and 70 people came to chili night and heard John Clor. It was a great turn out.
April 17 is National Mustang Day. The Club is meeting at the Kmart on 68th street and 131. We will cruise to the Blue Star Highway and down to St. Joseph to celebrate this special day. We will leave at noon sharp and will stop for a pizza lunch. Heidi and Dave Mull are organizing this.
April 23 is a visit to Frederick Meijer Gardens to see the Butterfly exhibit. We can start to arrive at 9 am, designated special parking area, and the tour begins at 10 am. The cost is $10 for adults and kids 5-13 are $7, 3-4 year olds are $4 and under 2 are free. If you have a Garden membership, there is no charge. We will enter as a group. Please wear a WMMC club identifier. Please RSVP to Dave and Heidi by 4-13 if you want to go. PAYMENT MUST BE IN CASH THAT DAY. Follow up lunch at Pizza Ranch on 28th street is planned.

July 8-9 Zeeland car show and cruise.
Bryan and Ronda Houseman are planning an outing this summer. Please reserve July 16.
There are five rooms left for the Fall Color Tour to Stafford’s Crooked River Lodge and Suites. Contact the Mull’s for more information or make reservations by contacting the hotel directly. 231 548 5000. Be sure to mention the WMMC group.
Mustang Memories is August 21 in Dearborn.
Tom and Julie Miller have no new MCA news. All officers are now members of MCA.
Lots of discussion took place about awards and plaques. Gene Gibson and Gary Marble will get some prices for our awards. Guidelines for sizes, prices and styles were given to both men so they can get some good quotes.
We need about 90 awards, will get 200 dash plaques and have 150 goodie bags.
The Creston Car show is the same day as the WMMC show. Registration is from 2-330 pm. Creston Neighborhood Assoc has always supported our show and several of our members hope to go to the Creston Show after our show is over and at least support some of the local restaurants.
Lori S. stated she needs the EIN for the Club. She wants to get the check book in the Club name and not hers as soon as possible. Paperwork will be resigned and given to Doug Doornbos to submit to the State.
Ronda Houseman has agreed to be the Volunteer coordinator for the Show. Gene Gibson is doing Pre-reg. Music will be coordinated by Steve Morgan. Carol will be in charge of the raffle and Traci will likely help. Photos will be taken by Phil. Lynn will head up the registration desk. Gene will be the gate keeper chair person, Richard Engel will handle vendors and cars for sale. Ballot counters will be Ron Wilton and Dave Dunn. If the people in charge of these areas need help, they will arrange for it. Ronda will help coordinate and schedule all the help.
The meeting was adjourned at 830 pm.
