West Michigan Mustang Club Board Meeting December 13, 2021
Frontline Church
Present were: Joe DiLorenzo, Ginny Marble, Maggie Turner, Suellen Engel, Gene Gibson, Gary Marble, Vicki Wilton, Don Lemons, Lori Stolte, Marty Mieras and Lynn Trestrail.
The President, Kevin Guzniczak was absent.
The Meeting was called to order at 706 pm by Lynn Trestrail.
The Secretary report was read. There were no corrections nor additions. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
The Treasury report was reviewed. All expenses and income were explained. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the Treasury report.
Membership report. We have had 96 renewals so far. Suellen wants to create a new welcome letter with the new meeting location, but one has not been found.
Merchandise: Joe said that he needs 3 more items to submit an order for embroidery. The clothing may not be done until after Christmas. Joe announced that he is going to resign from the merchandise role after the June show. Joe was thanked for his years of handling merchandise.
Per the email that Kevin received, it was announced that we are no longer able to meet at Frontline church for our monthly meetings. We are now looking for a new location. If anyone knows of a meeting room where we could meet for a reasonable price, please contact any board member. Several board members were going to check on locations and report back.
Lori Stolte said that the insurance requirement for the church is the same as in the past and we are covered.
President elect Marty Mieras was at the meeting and is very enthusiastic to start his new role. He has many ideas for activities and outings. These will be discussed at a later date.
Vicki Wilton expressed sincere thanks to the Club for making her a “life member.”
Don Lemons stated that he would like to see a Club Roster. He asked if it could be posted online. Pros and Cons were discussed regarding this. Perhaps we will have people who are interested in being included in a roster contact the Board and one can be developed. We do want members names, addresses and emails to be kept secure.
Gene mentioned that the trailer cover is not holding up well. He said it is already starting to rip at the zippers. He said that shrinking it after it was made, seemed to have made the cover too small. Lori will get Roz’ number to Gene so he can check with her.
There were a few other items to be discussed but the pressing need is a meeting location so that items were tabled. The next meeting is to be held January 10, 2022, but we do not yet have a location.
Marty said that all members may have his information: 616 890 4405, martymieras@gmail.com.
The meeting was adjourned at 753 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Trestrail, Secretary
