WEST MICHIGAN MUSTANG CLUB BOARD OF OFFICERS MEETING MARCH 11, 2024
Present were: Gene Gibson, Dave Dunn, Jim and Carol Teft, Jerry, Jenna and Tyler Jacobs, Jeremy Hoard, Gary and Ginny Marble, Rick and Krista Boomers, Maggie Turner, Lori Stolte, Kurt Kline and Lynn Trestrail. We had one quest, Nick Curtis from Awards Plus.
Nick made a verbal presentation about a marketing proposition. For a monthly fee, they will advertise and market anything we would like to purchase. They will take credit cards and ship directly to the buyer. Nick thought it was also possible to have membership and show registration on the website as well. We thanked Nick for his presentation and will discuss this further.
VP Jeremy Hoard called the meeting to order at 645 pm. Our President had surgery and is on medical leave.
Secretary: The Secretary report was read. There were no additions nor corrections. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Treasury: The Treasury report was distributed and reviewed. Income and expenses were detailed. A motion was made, 2nd and passed to approve the minutes.
Membership: In Suellen’s absence Lori reported that we currently have 156 members. The Board was advised that Suellen is in rehab after falling and fracturing bones. Her address is “The Oaks of Belmont” 6081 West River Dr. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49306. She is in room 409.
MCA: no updates since last month. For more information go to the MCA website. If you are interested in joining MCA, contact Tom and Julie Miller at tmillergrabber@gmail.com.
Activities: Our annual chili palooza was on Saturday March 9, 2024. We were at Faith Lutheran Church, sixty-five folks attended, and we had 17 pots of chili along with corn bread, salad, chips, fabulous desserts and drinks. Lori Stolte did a wonderful job decorating our tables with St. Patrick’s Day colors of tablecloths and flowers and candy bags. Thanks to everyone who helped with set up and clean up. Emeline King was our guest speaker. She was the first black female Motor Transportation Designer for Ford. Her story was fascinating and entertaining. She also had her books for sale.
April: we are looking into a group rate to have an event at Frederik Meijer Gardens.

Porta Potties must be reserved.
Smokey B’s Food Truck will be there. Gary will be contacting Magnum Coffee for a coffee donation and Culvers for a frozen custard donation. We don’t need the quantity of either that we had last year. Lynn will contact Delly Belly for donuts.
Maggie wants to do the 50/50 raffle and would like to do two raffles this year.
We need lots of volunteers for the show. Please consider volunteering. We appreciate all who do the ‘same day’ volunteering but the whole show will run more smoothly if we have volunteers ahead of time. That will give us an opportunity to see which areas need volunteers the most and even do some training. Several people volunteered at the meeting and it’s great to know ahead of time who we will have. Please let a Board member know you are volunteering. We also need a Club member to keep track of volunteers! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE VOLUNTEER!!!
A motion was made, 2nd and passed to adjourn the meeting at 746 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Plummer Trestrail,
WMMC Secretary
