Ok....what I thought was an adhesive a week or so ago turned out to be spots where my clearcoat is eroding. Some chemical or other caustic agent must've gotten onto my wheel and eaten through my clearcoat. Anyway - I was wondering if anyone here would know someone that could help me with my problem and help me avoid ordering a new wheel. The spokes are unaffected but in case it matters are black. The damage is on the machined lip of my 18x10 bullitt wheel. If anyone can help me out I'd much appreciate it. Thanks in advance....
- Steve

have you consulted w/ a body shop? they should be able to tell if it's the same as an auto body clear coat and if so it's a real straight forward process...also if your a DIY'er dupont makes a clear that goes straight on bare metal now. u could consult an auto body supply store that sells Dupont stuff w/ that one.

Unfortinately there is nothing you can do about this, I have had this problem on a few occasions and the only way to fix it is by having the remaining clear coat stripped off and then re-clearing it.
