After having a couple kids and taking a few years off from racing it's time to get back at it. I sold my 408W about 2 1/2 years ago and now I am building 420" motor based on a 1969 351W block. I don't have a lot of pics yet as I have just been mostly gathering parts for the last year or so but I will post more as time goes on. My goal is to have a 9 second, all motor car that I can still cruise around and drive to work every now and then. The engine: 1969 351W block 4.040 bore Eagle 4.1" stroke crank Scat H-beam rods Mahle flat top pistons Solid roller cam Trick flow High ports, CNC'ed and ported by Duane Busch Pro-Systems E85 carb

Made a little progress and went back a step as well. Got a call from my salesman @ Lane Automotive that these showed up, so I headed over there and picked them up. Harland Sharp shafts, 1.7 ratio Mocked up a Cyl. to check clearances, and I have near zero radial PTV clearance. Vertical PTV looks great but I am gonna have to get these back to the machine shop for a little work.

Been to the track twice with it, first time only made three passes before I pushed a freeze plug out. The second time I went to the track everything went well, I am gonna need to upgrade some suspension stuff this winter as the new motor is proving to be too much for it. Launching softly I managed to run a 10.09 @ 133 mph with a dismal 1.48 60' time. Here is a video from the first time at the track. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEoVbvpvB3g

Pulled the motor out a few weeks ago to take a peek at things and decided to have Baker install some 4-bolt main caps. Should have the block back this week so I can put it back together.
Gonna be able to spin it a little harder now ;D

Very nice considering the track is probably cold and not prepped this early in the year!
